A part of the Generosity Series, the 7th annual CASA Superhero 5K will take place on October 6, 2019 in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia. Why support Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Philadelphia?
The mission of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Philadelphia is to deliver personalized, integrated, child-centered advocacy to abused and neglected children in foster care through a diverse community of trained and skilled volunteers.
CASA of Philadelphia was founded in 2006. Since then CASA has trained over 350 volunteers and served over 850 children in foster care in Philadelphia.
Funds raised through the CASA Superhero 5K will help ensure that over 300 children in foster care in Philadelphia this year will have a CASA volunteer. Their advocacy will ensure the children's needs are met and services are provided to help them find a permanent home back with their family or through adoption.
